Step-by-Step Deluxe Repair Process

Follow these carefully for the best finish on deeper chips and aged surfaces.

1
Clean the area to be repaired using pre-treatment wipes. Wipe dry.
2
Cut the tip off the Colour Tube according to the desired size, usually a smaller hole is best.
3
Apply a small amount of paint either onto the squeegee, brush or directly to the chip.
4
Use the squeegee to level the paint into the chip.
5
Allow the paint to dry for 2-3 minutes. In areas of poor ventilation or high humidity, assistance with a fan or hairdryer can help.
6
As the paint dries it levels very well, the colour can also change a lot. Please do not judge the colour before it dries.
7
You are only looking for opacity with the colour — there is no need to try and fill the chip/scratch. At this point if your colour is a pearl white, apply the pearl layer if desired following the same steps as the colour.
8
UV Clear – Do not try to use it in the sun. Apply a small amount of clear to the squeegee or the micro brush and apply to the repair. The less clear applied makes clean up much faster. Clear will not cure until the light is applied, you can take time to fill and level the repair. Try to remove most of the excess clear before curing.
9
Once happy with application apply UV light to the clear, this can be done by using the UV torch for 2 minutes or driving the car into sunlight.
10
Once dry apply a liberal amount of finishing solution to the wiping cloth, keeping the cloth flat rub over the repair until the excess paint has been removed.
11
Wipe dry and clean the surface with the microfibre towel.
12
Avoid harsh polishing or buffing for a period of 7 days.
13
You can reseal the Colour Tube using the supplied reseal stickers or use piece of tape if desired. It is best to clean the end of the tube with the precleaning wipes before resealing.
💡
For extreme sun exposure areas, repair in morning or evening to avoid rapid drying. Always test on hidden spot if unsure.

FAQs

Is the deluxe kit better than the standard?
+
Yes. The deluxe kit includes sanding/blending tools, clear coat, and is optimized for deeper chips and aged paint. The standard is for minor nicks.
How long should I wait between layers?
+
Wait 5–10 minutes for each thin coat to set. For best results, build slowly and inspect under light.
Can I use this in coastal areas with salt air?
+
Absolutely. The clear coat provides a protective barrier against humidity and salt. Ensure surface is clean before sealing.
When can I wash after repair?
+
Wait at least 48 hours after applying clear coat to wash or wax the area.
